| To replace the cap you need to remove the slider, the wear on the slider would the same as the wear on the cap if not more, so it is advisable to replace it and not put the old one back in. Remember the slider wear between the wheel and the rotating shaft, then it will have some play in it. Too bad I didn't see your post before I did my write up, it would have saved me the trouble of removing the track, which I thought was the problem to start with. I would have also given you all the credit for finding out what the problem was. But thanks anyway .. and the entire point of the write up is help each other .. I am not here looking for any glory.
